Liquid Trade Waste PolicyLast modified: December 9, 2008 - 9:17 AM
Liquid Trade Waste is defined as "all liquid wastes other than sewerage of a domestic nature". At its meeting held on 22 October 2008, Council adopted the Liquid Trade Waste Policy. The policy has been developed in accordance with the NSW Government Best Practice Management for Water Supply and Sewerage Guidelines and requires the approval of the NSW Department of Water and Energy. The implementation of this Policy is a requirement for the funding by the NSW Government of the new Tenterfield Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Policy will come into effect on 1 July 2009. Property owners and occupiers affected by the Liquid Trade Waste Policy will be formally notified of the classification (A, B or C) of the discharge by the end of December 2008.
